My client is currently in a period of rapid growth, and have a range of innovative connected products. Due to their ongoing success, they are now seeking to recruit an additional Product Design Engineer into their multi-disciplinary engineering team.Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable person for a Product Design Engineer role. This role is suited to candidates with experience in highly regulated environment. We are specifically looking for candidates with the willingness to work on a wide variety of complex multi-disciplinary projects.Product Design Engineer role:- Participating and contributing to lifecycle and new product development products to solve complex problems- Contributing to multiple projects to deliver on tight time frames and budgets- Generating design concepts based on engineering principles, utilising 3D CAD- Preparing extensive design documentation to high demand specification- Making computer renderings using Keyshot- Physical involvement with prototyping, test units and rigsEssential Attributes:- Excellent undergraduate degree in product or industrial design (or related subject)- Industry experience within the development of consumer products (or related sector)- Competent Solidworks 3D CAD user- Able to construct computer renderings with Keyshot- Competent with Abode InDesign/Illustrator- Excellent written and communication skillsDesirable Attributes:- Basic understanding of designing for injection moulding- Knowledge of rapid prototyping techniquesThis role would be well suited for an ambitious Product Design Engineer that is looking to join a company in an exciting phase of growth, where you will see at first-hand the impact of your work.
