Product Definition Engineer- Power supply products - NPD - Cambridge, EnglandYou will join an experienced team, and have support available, but at the same time be expected to work successfully on your own tasks seeking help when required.You will define new mains electricity connected power conversion products to meet client application requirements.You will use simulation techniques and fast prototyping methodologies to develop and validate off mains SMPS solutions, such as SMPS architectures and models.Your Experience :At least 3 years relevant experience of which some will have been spent in industry.Successful conceptual design of 220/240V AC/DC power supplies.Block requirements, client voltage requirements, peak power, etc.Good practical knowledge in power electronics, and power control and power conversion - maybe a hobby interest.Understanding of PID, and DSP based control loops.Experience modelling power conversion devices, using Simulink, Plecs, Matlab, Mathcad or other simulation tools.Good technical writing capabilities in English.We look forward to hearing from candidates who are, eligible to work in the UK, have good English language capabilities, and are eager to live and work in England.
