This is a fantastic opportunity for a Process Engineer to join a growing team, based in the heart of Cambridges Tech cluster. The team, who are world-leaders in their field, were spun-out of Cambridge University and boast excellent on-site facilities. In your role, you will collaborate with the Production Manager and the wider Engineering Team in maximising and improving Liquid Crystal cell assembly processes. You will oversee all cell assembly activities, plan work and provide guidance to cleanroom Technicians and Engineers. Youll also carry out statistical analysis of experiments and ensure equipment, such as robot tools, are programmed and operated correctly. There will be occasional international travel expected.Qualifications:* Degree level as in a Scientific subject as a minimum* Experience working within FPD, Liquid Crystal or Semiconductor industries* Experience with processes on small scale pilot production line or production facility in a cleanroom environment* Able to demonstrate your knowledge of an LC cell including the different modes, alignment layers and assembly techniques* Practical skills in glue and LC dispensing equipment* Ideally experience in sheet to sheet lamination processes and thin film deposition techniques like spinning, slit coating and flexo-printing* Proven experience of experimentation from design of experiments, to executing and test* Familiar with metrology equipment such as microscopes and interferometers* Proven experience with Optical testing methods* Proven experience of producing high quality reports for different audiences* Experience of programming languages including using MATLAB and/or Python is a bonus* Exposure to reliability testing is a plus* Intermediate MS office skills, especially Excel and PowerPointStart: Immediate Location: Cambridge, CambridgeshireSalary: NegotiableIf you are interested in this position, feel you have the relevant experience and skills and would like to apply, please call our team on or apply online.
