Job Description

Job Title: Process Chemist (permanent)Location:CambridgeSalary:£30k - £32k p/annumBenefits:23.5 days holiday plus bank holiday, finalsalary pension (4% employer contribution), free parking,employer assistance program and and online perks and discounts schemeReed Scientific are recruiting for a Process Chemist,on a full timebasis, to join a growing company who are developing clean and sustainable technologies in the recycling industry.The Process Chemistwill be responsible for running a chemical process and supervising a chemical processingteam.Responsibilitiesin the role:Responsibility for the chemicalprocess which will include sample intake, material tracking, maintenance of equipment, carrying out experiments and following health and safety protocols.

  • Maintaining a clean working environment and working to health and safety standards, maintaining process equipment and conducting safety inspections of all equipment.
  • Inputting information onto shared documents for tracking.
  • Be available to assist colleagues across departments.
  • Assist the Operationsand Facilities manager direct other production staff.
  • Assist with the preparation of sample material.
Qualifications and experience required:
  • A degree in Chemistry (or a related scientific discipline) with experience of working within a chemical process environment
  • IT proficiency
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work alone or as part of a team
