Job Description

Job Overview:The Automotive Line of Business is looking for a new team member. Our mission is to grow demand for Arms current products & services, while defining and leading Arm to build the next generation. We do this working closely with sales and FAEs to engage ourpartners. This role focuses on system technology, with a responsibility for owning and driving technology requirements that underpin industry-leading solutions and technologies for the automotive market.We are seeking a highly motivated individual with the technical depth and interpersonal skills to work closely with our world-leading organisation. You will need to engage our engineering teams, hardware and software architects, sales and marketing teamsto contribute to the definition of existing and new automotive solutions.Responsibilities:Applying a system first view to the understanding of compute, & software technology trends, automotive market trends and customer needs by collaborating with our go to market team, product team, partners and wider Arm. A core part of the role is to translatemarket requirements to technology requirements to support definition of our future solutions, which includes Arm CPU, GPU, ISP, subsystems, system IP, software roadmap planning in conjunction with our product and software teams.Owning and delivering the technology requirements to craft future solutions and technology direction underpinning our products and go to market strategies.Providing technical expertise relating to the hardware software interface and how systems, system-on-chips and chiplets are realised by the market in support of the Automotive business.Creation of presentations, white papers and other collateral to support the success of our solutions and their applicability to the market and its applications.Development and management of collaborative and positive relationships with Arms external partners, working with Account Managers (sales & FAEs) and product management to secure adoption and design wins for Arm products and solutions.Required Skills and Experience:

  • A Bachelors or Masters degree, or similar, in Computer Science or Electrical/Computer Engineering or similar area
  • Excellent knowledge of computer architecture, computer systems, and the design and or application of System-on-Chip
  • Broad understanding of CPU and other compute IP, SoC, System and Software technologies and trends within the embedded and Automotive semiconductor market
  • The ability to learn and solve problems independently as well as part of a team
  • Be comfortable working in the absence of certainty regarding market requirements
  • Have worked in domains such as: SoC design, computer architecture, software architecture
  • Good interpersonal, leadership, communication and influencing skills
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to meet with customers and colleagues
Nice To Have Skills and Experience:
  • Automotive electronics or Automotive systems and software
  • Good understanding of Functional Safety for Automotive, Industrial or adjacent electronics applications
  • Experience of working within or directly with SoC suppliers/designers, Automotive Tier1 or Tier2 electronics suppliers
  • Experience writing technical specifications
  • Experience of customer interaction of a technical nature
  • Experience of technical marketing, including presentations and whitepapers
  • Awareness and understanding of automotive software stacks
