Job Description

Transcriptomics, iPSC Culture, Megakaryocytes, Genomics, NGS, CRISPR, Molecular Biology, Platelets Your new companyAs a breakthrough biotech, driven by a group of experienced entrepreneurs who pioneered genome editing, and more specifically brought CRISPR to life, our client is on a mission to utilise their novel cell therapy platform, with the power of synthetic biologyand genome editing to change the landscape of current methods to tackle incurable diseases.By integrating CRISPR technology to engineer iPSCs, their aim is to pave new approaches with novel cell therapies, thus bringing significant improvement in the treatment of autoimmune and cancerous diseases.Your new role

  • As an integral senior member of the Discovery Biology team, you will utilise your experience in transcriptomics and genomics to help develop transcriptomics capabilities for assessment of differentiated iPSCs. This would be contributing to the therapeuticpipeline by helping the drug discovery process, following cell responses in complex in vitro assays.
  • You will be responsible for independently planning and executing a wide range of complex experiments, liaising with different teams to guide future transcriptomics-based verticals.
  • You will help to design and implement quality assays to characterise transcriptome changes (including scRNA-seq and scATAC-seq) in platelets and megakaryocytes from in vitro and in vivo platforms.
What youll need to succeed
  • You will hold a PhD/MSc/BSc qualification (or equivalent biotech/pharma experience) in the area of Transcriptomics, possessing extensive experience in molecular and cell biology, with expertise in genomics, transcriptome analysis, and mammalian and stemcell culture.
  • You will have strong molecular biology skills (including library preparation for DNA/RNA sequencing), and hands-on experience in developing NGS, single-cell, or spatial transcriptomics capabilities (familiarity in handling and analysing scRNA-seq and scATAC-seqdatasets will be an advantage).
