Job Description

Principal Pavement Engineer - CambridgeOur client is seeking an experienced Principal Pavement Engineer with extensive experience in UK pavement design, pavement evaluation and materials assessment.We are seeking a pragmatic individual who wishes to assist in the development of innovative, cost effective and buildable solutions in an environment that is collaborative, stimulating and demanding. The role would suit a self-motivated individual lookingto advance their career in a dynamic team.What you will be doing:You will be experienced in delivering the following to a high level of confidence:

  • Delivery of pavement projects, including investigation reports, design projects and site supervision.
  • Manage fieldwork projects including commercial and health and safety requirements.
  • Perform airfields/roads pavement inspection and report treatment recommendations.
  • Pavement analysis, design, material specification and reporting.
  • Implement plans for development of pavement & materials services, with a good understanding and application of sustainable solutions, carbon modelling and recycling design.
  • Etc
What were looking for:
  • Knowledge of pavement engineering demonstrated by experience of pavement design, investigation and research.
  • Knowledge or experience of road and airfield pavement engineering projects.
  • Knowledge or experience of UK pavement design methodologies and contract documentation, including MCHW.
  • Experience of pavement investigation projects for maintenance design and failure investigation.
  • Knowledge of materials specification and behaviour underlying standard specifications.
  • Knowledge of sustainable solutions, carbon modelling and recycling options.
  • Working knowledge of the preparation of proposals and communication with clients.
  • Experience of international airfield/road standards is an advantage.
  • Experience of DIO airfield inspection is an advantage.
  • Experience of non-DMRB pavement design is an advantage.
