Job Description

Principal Acoustics EngineerA brand new, exciting opening has arisen for a Principal Acoustics Engineer to join this global leader in communications product design. With full responsibility youll have the opportunity to make a real difference.Experience and skills needed:

  • Full product lifecycle experience
  • Considerable experience of audio amplifiers, audio codecs and transducers
  • Practical experience of evaluating audio signal processing techniques (echo cancellation, noise reduction etc.)
  • Good MATLAB programming skills
  • Head and Torso Simulator (HATS) experience
  • Experience working in an Anechoic Chamber
  • Design for product manufacture
  • Microphone beamformer design
Ideally you will also have:
  • Experience of speech quality measurement techniques
  • Working to and testing against acoustic safety standards
  • Experience working with portable radio devices
  • Design for medium volume product manufacture
Desirable:
  • Audio electronics, including audio circuit design and design for EMC compliance
  • Audio algorithms DSP development
