Principal Acoustic Engineer | Digital Communication | Cambridge | Up to £65KThe organisation:A group that works in the design manufacturing and supply of digital communication products for mission critical communication. Theyre based a short distance for Cambridge North and are currently looking for a Principal Acoustic Engineer to join their team.The work they provide is largely within the public services domain, with the tech they work on, being relied on in life or death scenarios. The work environment can be full on, with an expectation of delivery, though the management team do as much to relievesome of that pressure by allowing half days on Fridays and working in spacious and modern working environments.The role:They are looking for a highly motivated team player with a minimum of 5 years commercial audio engineering experience. As a Principal Acoustic Engineer you will have proven acoustic design expertise within the consumer electronics industry, and strong analyticaland co-ordination skills. You will be the most senior member of the team so will be taking complete ownership of a product at early stages of development.In terms of the technical responsibilities, you will be in charge of acoustic design and optimisation of new radio terminal products and accessories, including transducer selection and evaluation, modelling the transducer cavities, and steering the mechanicaldesign. You will have ownership of the acoustic test equipment, measurement methodology and test standards, including the creation and implementation of a continuous improvement roadmap for the acoustic test environment. You will need strong stakeholder experienceas you will provide technical support to suppliers, internal and external customers and much more.Essential Skills:
