This is an exciting area that hasn’t been explored to its full potential, making this an opportunity to make a real difference to the future of medical science.About the Role: Looking to make an impact to patient’s outcome in Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) disease This position represents a fantastic opportunity for a postdoc to push the cell free nucleic acid analysis in liquid biopsy outside of Oncology. The successful candidate will select and apply novel epigenomic methods to improve patient outcomes in IPF.IPF is a progressive lethal condition with 3-year median survival. IPF is caused by genetic and environmental interactions, and many studies identified disease-associated dysregulated genes as well as differences in site-specific and genome-wide DNA methylation. Early diagnosis of IPF would provide the opportunity for earlier therapeutic intervention and improved patient outcomes.We seek a driven and results-oriented postdoc who will work in a multi-disciplinary environment to characterize the epigenomic landscape of IPF and take the findings forward towards the development of novel diagnostic tools. You will work with leading clinical academic collaborators in this field, as well as diagnostic companies, to generate high-quality and high-impact scientific data. Successful development of diagnostic tools will have a significant impact on patients and would change therapeutic guidelines.Essential Experience and Education:
