Job Description

Annual salary: up to £33,000.00 Planned Works Supervisor South Cambridgeshire - Permanent – Full TimeThis position will be attached to our Cottenham office, however, most of your time will be spend travelling from site to site throughout South Cambridgeshire. Who are weMears is one of the UK’s leading housing and care providers to both the public and private sector, with over 6,500 employees, working with clients to help develop, fund, and implement their placemaking ambitions.We provide tailored rapid-response and planned maintenance services through partnering arrangements with more than 70 local authorities, Arm’s Length Management Organisations and Housing Associations.What we are looking for:We are looking for an experienced Supervisor to join our planned works team, with responsibility for managing day to day delivery of planned works throughout the South Cambs area. Key to the role is somebody who has the ability to manage a diverse range of projects at any one time, while ensuring KPI and delivery targets are met.In order to be successful, you will have excellent, communication skills and experience of working in a similar position previously. The projects you will be managing are varied and span from planned kitchen, and bathroom refurbishments through to electrical property testing.As a large bulk of your time will be spend driving from site to site on a daily basis, you will need to be happy travelling and have a proactive, hands on approach when dealing with tenants, subcontractors, and our client.Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervision of the contract ensuring that all subcontractors are working efficiently and productively out on site.
  • Ensuring that suppliers/subcontractors works are carried out accordingly and in a timely manner meeting all contract KPI targets
  • Liaising with customers and dealing with any queries or issues which may arise
  • Supervising contracts / area within agreed budgets, objectives, and targets
  • Ensuring works are completed on time and to a high-quality standard
  • Ensure all clients expectations are achieved
  • Working alongside operatives in the delivery of works to ensure that quality and right first-time standards are achieved and maintained
  • Ensure that paperwork and reports are fully completed and submitted in-line with the Company procedure
  • Be jointly responsible for ensuring the workplace is tidy and safe
  • Attend inspections where necessary
  • What you need to have:Essential:
  • Previous experience within social housing or similar.
  • Experience leading and motivating a team of trade operatives
  • Subcontractor management.
  • Experience of working in partnership with a Local Authority Client/housing association, with management experience in a similar operation.
  • IT Skills
  • Good understanding of H&S legislation
  • Excellent knowledge of planned works works
