Job Description

People & Culture CoordinatorLocation: Hybrid, Cambridge based with work from homeBasis: Permanent, full-timeSalary: £28,000 - £32,000Eligibility: You must be eligible to work in the UKThe roleThe Foundation has grown significantly over the past twelve months, and we are set to continue growing over the coming year in order to help millions of young people all over the world learn computing and digital making skills. Thats where you come in.Reporting to the Director of People and Culture, you will play an important role in supporting all of our people and culture processes, with a particular focus on induction, onboarding, joiners, movers, and leavers, as well as on learning and development.You will work closely with managers from across the charity to support them, and you will deal directly with candidates and employees at all levels of our organisation.You need to be engaging and passionate about our mission, because you will be the first point of contact for new employees; you will oversee all aspects of induction and onboarding, giving new members of the team the best possible start to their career withus.You will have demonstrable experience of operating in a HR team, where you have had to be flexible and proactive in order to get things done.   • Partner with hiring managers to provide advice, guidance, and support in all areas on the employee journey
  • Support engagement activities including recruitment, onboarding, and induction, as well as communication from the People & Culture team to the wider organisation, maintaining an outstanding level of customer service within and outside the Foundation, andproviding timely responses to enquiries and requests
  • Work alongside the team to deliver the Foundations learning and development programme
  • Support the People & Culture Director to develop and manage all HR processes and procedures across the Foundation, including performance management; pay and remuneration; and HR systems
  • Compile HR data for regular reporting to the senior leadership team
  • Ensure that our HRIS remains an accurate database of employee information
  • Coordinate logistics for special projects and initiatives, such as staff meet-ups and training events
  • Support the safeguarding team in the administration of the safeguarding project

  • Experience of working in an HR department
  • A proactive approach to your work with evidence of working effectively without supervision
  • Strong attention to detail, and the ability to spot and solve problems quickly and effectively
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to influence others in a positive and constructive manner
  • Experience of dealing with sensitive issues
  • Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic and fast-moving environment
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with line managers and team members
  • Proficiency with computers and HRIS systems
  • CIPD Level 3 or above or experience in HR
