Job Description

People and Culture Business PartnerLocation: Cambridge, UKSalary: £47,000 - £52,000* p.a. full-time equivalent, dependent on experienceBasis: Permanent; full-time, part-time, or flexibleEligibility: You must be eligible to work in the UKThe roleWe are looking to appoint a People and Culture Business Partner to join our People and Culture team within the Foundation to help us realise our ambitious plans for expanding our impact around the world over the next decade and to provide the best Peopleand Culture offering to our organisation.Working closely with the Director of People and Culture and the wider team, you will be an HR generalist and will be responsible for providing HR guidance and support to the organisation.   • Provide HR guidance to Raspberry Pi Foundation employees and management team on a wide range of HR- and People-related areas that require sound HR advice
  • Build strong relationships and coach managers on how to manage People-related issues effectively
  • Manage the absence management processes (including sickness, holiday, and family leave) and the compensation and benefits cycle
  • Manage well-being initiatives for employees to improve their working life
  • Support managers to resolve complex employee relations issues (including grievances, disciplinary issues, and performance management issues)
  • Operationally deliver HR programmes such as management development
  • Ensure flexible working requests are managed consistently
  • Manage the organisations HR platform, BambooHR, including managing the organisation, positions, and payroll interface
  • Manage data and reporting of all HR KPIs each month
  • Work with the People and Culture Coordinators to ensure onboarding is as smooth as possible and all new employees have induction plans and probationary review meetings
  • Develop and implement a retention action plan for the organisation to reduce attrition
  • Ensure that all aspects of your work support the Foundations commitments to equality, diversity, and inclusion
  • Working alongside the Director of People and Culture, drive and deliver HR and improvement projects, ensuring outcomes are aligned to the business strategy and legislation

  • A commitment to the mission and values of the Raspberry Pi Foundation
  • Significant experience in operational HR matters including employee relations activities
  • HR qualification - CIPD Level 7 or CIPD Level 5 with experience in the sector
  • A commitment to diversity and inclusion, with experience of helping organisations recruit diverse teams and creating inclusive working environments
  • Experience of coaching managers on how to manage their teams effectively
  • Articulate, with the ability to translate complex information for a range of audiences
  • Natural collaboration skills, being able to work across teams, with a track record of working with colleagues to achieve results
