We are Cambridge University Press & Assessment, a world-leading academic publisher and assessment organisation, and a proud part of the University of Cambridge.As a key member of the Organisation Design (OD) you will be responsible for delivering OD elements including facilitation of workshops for a group of the Education Business departments Integration projects, ensuring timeliness in the delivery of plans, structuraland people components through alignment of the business operating model with the organisation design.This exciting opportunity is offered on an initial 12 month fixed term contract, with hybrid working available from day one.What you will doAs the Education OD architect reporting to the Integration Organisation Design lead, you will:
  • Support the design and deliver of Education organisational design project by adapting organisational design technical methodology e.g. people architecture including spans of control
  • Proactively manage stakeholder relationships to be able to build trusted relationships with Education leaders and provide support for the organisation designs
  • Maintain oversight of workstream timetables and roll-out plans across sub groups of the Education OD programme in a way that enables the effective co-ordination of critical interdependencies to be identified and acted upon to ensure that programmes of workcan be delivered within time-critical constraints
  • Lead Education team workshops to develop accountabilities built from the Target Operating Model and RACI
  • Employ diagnostics to ascertain gaps in leaders capability or areas for development for People & Culture product support such as leadership development for leading teams due to the new Organisation design
  • To develop plans and track timelines to prioritise OD activity built from work with leaders and internal organisational requirements, deploy strong project execution skills, use of Miro or other online tools
  • Contribute to the development of the Organisation Design Playbook
  • Review and create People analytics to complete quantitative and qualitative data analysis and drive insights from Education people data to inform the design.
  • Contributing through the Organisation Design to CUP&A Equality and diversity goals and the building of capability
  • Maintain for the Education Organisation design project a decision-log and lessons learned register to aid future decision-making and problem solving and ensure adherence to legal and compliance frameworks
About youYou will bring a strong track record of Organisational Design or People Partnering in a fast-changing environment, along with technical experience including people architecture. You will be comfortable in the delivery of OD design capability thought digitalprogrammes including analysing data ideally having had experience using Power BI.Joining at a time of transformation and change we are aiming to attract someone who can understand the bigger picture, able to identify resolutions for problems and prioritise the delivery of OD plans.This role requires strong stakeholder management and engagement, working to tight timelines and strong relationship building skills is a must along with being comfortable working in an environment where you are making decisions sometimes without completeinformation.
