Job Description

Established over 35 years ago, from humble beginnings initially distributing products in a wide number of categories this company soon realised that they needed to create their own market and niche. They are now a well known distributor of premium brandswithin the small kitchen appliances industry.Focusing exclusively on premium brands, they have full distribution rights and responsibility for a number of household names. These brands are managed within a comprehensive network of specialist retailers, specialist online retailers, electrical retailers,department stores and leading independent stores. Their retail partners include the likes of Amazon, AO.com, John Lewis, Argos, Dixons, Very, Lakeland and around 150 independent stores.This company has an unrivalled reputation within the industry for working with premium brands and developing them within the market. Having established strong relationships with many retailers they are now looking to add a National Account Manager to theirestablished team.Ideally commutable to Cambridgeshire based office - minimum requirement 1/2 days per week in the office or more depending on business requirements.Responsibilities:

  • Reporting directly to the National Account Channel Manager you will manage multiple brands within a chosen group of national retailers.
  • Managing key retail partners ensuring the business can support the individual demands of each retailer through the consistent and rapid growth that we are experiencing.
  • Develop a strong sales strategy closely aligned to our brand partners to ensure we meet and exceed their growth targets and future ambitions.
  • Define retail sales targets, annual forecasts and implement necessary measures to secure their fulfilment and present internally and externally to our brand managers on a regular basis.
  • Have full ownership and accountability for the accuracy of your forecast liaising internally with the sales operation manager and brand managers to ensure sufficient stock is available and aligned with planned marketing activities.
  • Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements.
  • Develop and build strong relationships with your retail accounts.
  • Prepare regular weekly reports and presentations of progress, measures and forecasts.
  • Work internally with the Brand Management team and closely with Ecommerce Manager.
  • Assist in identifying and onboarding new retail partners.
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Proven track record at a national account/account executive sales level
  • Proven ability to generate profitable sales with a view on the long and short term
  • Entrepreneurial character with strong organisational and communication skills
  • Self-motivated and experienced professional with a hands-on personality
