Mobile HGV TechnicianLocation: CambridgeshireSalary: £36,000 - £37,000Hours: Monday – Friday 08:00 - 18:00 A fantastic opportunity is available for an experienced Commercial Vehicle Service Technician / Mobile HGV Technician HGV Fitter / Mobile HGV Fitter / Mobile HGV Mechanic to join a fast expanding company based in Northampton or surrounding areas, the successful Commercial Vehicle Service Technician / Mobile HGV Technician will work from home. As a Commercial Vehicle Service Technician / Mobile HGV Technician HGV Fitter / Mobile HGV Fitter / Mobile HGV Mechanic your main duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults on tractor units and trailersDiagnosing and repairing Electrical faults on tractor units and trailersUndertaking PMIs, grease-ups and other duties relating to the ongoing maintenance and repair of these vehicles which are predominantly Petrol TankersTo be considered for the role you must be self-motivated and able to work from home and on your own initiative. The company are especially interested speaking to candidates with at least 1 year’s driving experience. In addition, the following key skills and experience are essential: Full category LGVC+E driving licence with a maximum of 6 points for minor endorsements and no outstanding DD, DR or CD penalties.ADR licence is preferable (if not held then prepared to take or renew immediately)NVQ3 in Commercial Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or Heavy Vehicle Mechanics or equivalent2-years recent practical experience particularly on trailersFamiliar with electrical and mechanical faults as well as multi-meters and other diagnostic equipment preferably Texta Confident and personable when talking to customersWilling to work by the roadside in all weather conditionsEmpathetic and appreciative of the stressful situation that customers can find themselves inBenefits:Induction training and continued training throughout employment included IMI Irtec or ATA Inspection Courses (This does not include technical training)No more travel to work costs as a fully-equipped company van is provided including the latest diagnostic equipmentTo apply, please send your CV quoting HGV Technician to Dudley Pine Or call on Mob: Auto Skills UK – See our website for details.
