Mental Health Support Worker VacancyA well-respected charity based in Cambridgeshire are currently looking to recruit a Mental Health Support Worker to start with them on a temporary contract as soon as possible.Hours: 37.5 hours per week Shifts: variable between 8am – 8pmDuration: Three months ongoing with a chance to go permanent Location: CambridgeRate of Pay: £15.50 per hour via an umbrella companyMain duties of the role:• Working in a supported housing service in Cambridge made up of 14 rooms with adults with a range of mental health needs • Conduct daily administrative tasks, including taking rent, answering phone calls and providing appropriate information to callers in accordance with procedures • Write and follow personalised support plans in line with the organisations policies and procedures • Liaise with both internal and external agencies providing advice and expert knowledge including social workers and landlords • Encourage clients to live independently and assist them in getting ready to move on • Oversee individual rent accounts ensuring they do not fall into arrears and provide guidance in managing their own money • Report any repairs that are required making sure they are completed within a reasonable time frameEssential requirements:• An Enhanced DBS from within the last year with the Adults and Children’s list checked or willingness to obtain• Experience or an interest in working with vulnerable people• Good IT skills including Microsoft packagesTo apply for this excellent opportunity please email your updated CV to or call
