Job Description

Membership OfficerMembership BodyHybrid 2 Days Cambridge Office, 3 Days HomeBasic Salary £30,000-£35,000 dependant on experience plus benefitsPermanent, Full Time, An excellent opportunity for a Membership Officer to join a thriving and highly respected Membership Body.The CRM and Membership Officer will be responsible for managing our customer relationship management system and overseeing the membership experience. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing member engagement, ensuring the accuracy of our database, andsupporting the growth of the membership base.Key Responsibilities:

  1. CRM Management:
    1. Administer and maintain the CRM system to ensure accurate and up-to-date member records.
    2. Customise the CRM to meet the evolving needs, implementing enhancements and integrations as necessary.
    3. Provide training and support to staff members on CRM usage, ensuring a high level of proficiency across the organisation.
    4. Generate reports and analyse data to inform decision-making processes related to membership and engagement.
  1. Membership Coordination:
    1. Oversee the end-to-end membership process, from onboarding to renewal.
    2. Develop and implement strategies to increase membership acquisition and retention.
    3. Collaborate with the marketing team to create targeted campaigns and promotional materials to attract new members.
    4. Act as the primary point of contact for member enquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
  1. Member Services:
    1. Collaborate with the Member Engagement and Events Officer on the development and implementation of member engagement activities such as events, webinars, and networking
    2. Gather feedback from members and use insights to continuously improve the membership experience.
  1. Collaboration and Communication:
    1. Collaborate with other teams to align CRM and membership efforts with broader organisational goals.
    2. Communicate effectively with members, keeping them informed of relevant updates, benefits, and opportunities.
    3. Work closely with the communications team to contribute content for newsletters, social media, and other communication channels.
  1. Key Account Management
    1. Work closely with our key members to enhance their experience and leverage their support in order to improve the overall member value proposition, recruit new members, enhance the reputation and create public benefit.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
  • Proven experience in membership management and CRM administration.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate meaningful insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in parallel.
  • Proficiency in CiviCRM and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Very team-oriented and collaborative.
  • Solutions-focused.
