Their mission is to be the worlds first smart, pest detection company and solve the growing £320 billion issue we face today. They work within a range of sectors, including agriculture, forestry, textiles, and hospitality.The Role:Developing a product for a new insect or environment requires a considerable mechanical and fluidics R&D effort. Youll work closely with Spottas Mechanical and Production Engineers to:

  • Design and implement tests to validate the repeatability, reliability and performance of the product
  • Build prototype batches of product to perform these tests with
  • Contribute to the mechanical design using Solidworks, including optionally assisting with materials selection and fluidics design
  • Propose and implement design modifications to improve product performance and manufacturability
Requirements:
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a 2:1 or better
  • Hardware validation - test design and implementation experience
  • Building and prototyping electromechanical assemblies
  • Mechanical design and CAD
  • Test data analysis and reporting
