Job Description

Mechanical Field Technician (Some Electrical)Provectus Recruitment Ltd are currently partnered with a Cambridge based Scientific business, that have developed and manufactured some "first of its kind" automated electro-mechanical technology used for processing & recycling waste.The BusinessThis business is not your typical machinery manufacturing business. They started as a start-up around 4 years ago & now have machinery in the field being used by customers. This role will be the first Service Engineer that the business hires, thus your work will have a huge impact on the future of the business.The business can offer you:

    • Responsibilities As the new Mechanical Field Technician, you would be responsible for travelling to customer sites in the UK to Service & Maintain this machinery, using hands on mechanical engineering principles, whilst continuously providing operational support.
  • Support machinery installations on-site and remotely
  • Carryout Mechanical & some Electrical maintenance engineering on machinery
  • Diagnose issues and determine the root cause of machinery failures.
  • Work with the design & manufacturing team on continuous improvement of machinery
    • We are looking for: This client would ideally like to see candidates that are excited by new technology & have some skills centred around Mechanical Service Engineering (with some Electrical, although limited)
  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification
  • A few years’ experience working in a service-based role with process, plant, automated machinery.
  • Some electrical experience such as isolating equipment safely
  • Low voltage wiring experience (24V), Single & 3 Phase.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings.
  • Experience working with equipment such as Conveyor systems, rotating equipment, robotics, HVAC, etc.
  • Assembly or disassembly of rotating equipment (Not essential)
    • Please note: Company Van & Tooling provided, Travel is UK only & not vast amounts Required skills
