You will be involved in design, prototype and test of mechanical systems and components such as robotic systems and scientific instrumentation used in the medical, chemicals, oil and gas sectors. You would be responsible for designing equipment which requires creativity for mechanical design along with an analytical approach.We are looking for candidates with expertise in low volume/high value market sectors with a passion for solving difficult problems.Mechanical Design Engineer responsibilitiesYou will work on the design of technical systems for a wide range of applications including: optical, ultrasonic and magnetic sensors; electro-magnetic and opto-mechanical transducers; thermal systems; valves and fluidic systems.Creative problem solvingAnalytical approach.Experimental/laboratory work.Design and implementation of proof-of-principle test rigs.Developing concepts into production-ready designs.Writing technical design and project reportsMechanical Design Engineer Requirements
