Mechanical Design Engineer - Manufacturing - Cambridgeshire - LM1103Salary: Negotiable, Dependent upon ExperienceJob Term: Permanent / Full TimeJob Outline:A leading developer of Components and Solutions used in Telecoms and Optoelectronics is now looking for a new Mechanical Design Engineer to join their growing team.Working onsite you will participate in the design and development of new products.You will create necessary component and assembly drawings, define BOM and design jigs and fixtures for manufacturing processes.In addition to your design work, you will also manage and participate in the development of prototypes.For the right candidate, my client can offer a competitive salary, and the opportunity to work within a rapidly growing organisation.Qualification:Ideally you will have achieved an Honours Degree in Mechanical Design/Engineering, Product Design or similar.Experience:To succeed as the next Design Engineer you should have at least 2 years experience in mechanical design and new product development (preferably with electronic or optoelectronic related assemblies, hardware and components).Ideally you will be familiar with 2D and 3D design, and have used Creo, Solidworks, Pro Engineer, Auto-Cad or similar.Experience working with databases and software management, such as CRM and PDM would be an advantage.Additional Information:Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK, without requiring sponsorship.
