Working on behalf of our client who are world leaders in inkjet technology, we are seeking a Materials Assistant to join the team on a permanent basis on the outskirts of Cambridge due to company growth. You will be working within the warehouse assisting the purchasing and materials controller, picking components, processing works orders and purchase orders. If you have experience in a manufacturing environment, have a methodical approach and self sufficientthen this is the role for you! Start: ASAP Duration: Permanent Location: Outskirts of Cambridge, Cambridgeshire Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 pa Hours: Monday to Friday 8am-4pm OR 9am-5pm - Part time hours would also be considered Benefits: 25 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays, Pension scheme, AXA health care and discretionary Christmas bonus Duties will include: - Picking components and parts against works orders - Carrying out stock takes and taking part in audits - Preparing orders for shipment - Completing purchase orders with suppliers - Processing works orders - Communicating with suppliers with any issues - Maintaining a clean and tidy working area, always following health & safety - Support and assist other team members when required - Working collaboratively and contributing to improvements Skills and Experience: - Experience within Manufacturing environment is essential - Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills are essential - Computer literate with knowledge if MS Office package - Experience using Sage 200 would be an advantage - High levels of numeracy and literacy - Proactive and self sufficient - Team player If you have not received a response within 3-5 working days, unfortunately your application has been unsuccessful.
