Interaction recruitments are proud to be recruiting for a Market and Street trading officer on behalf of our client based in central Cambridge. 37.50 hours per week spread over 5 out of 7 day- £18 - £19ph - TEMP (potential perm placement after a successful probation)The successful candidate will assist and support the City Centre Management, Markets and Street Trading Development Manager in the day-to-day operation and development of the Markets and Street Trading service. To include the overseeing and issuing of charity street collections and Saturday stall permits, and the proactive management of any on street non-licensable activity e.g. busking and direct debit charity collections. Control and enforcement of street tradingwithin the consent zone and providing advice and guidance on organising events in the city centre and responding to and facilitating filming requests, ensuring all marketable activity complies with the Charter Markets Regulations. To maintain comprehensive, accurate and up-to-date records on all Market and street trading applications, including attendance, financial information, licences/ consents granted, licences/consents rejected, communications with traders, identifying breachesand taking the necessary action as directed by the Market development Manager. and any other information where relevant for: Street Trading pitches Market stalls Charitable CollectionAs follows but not limited to: Assisting across social media platforms (Instagram, twitter etc.) To take lead in specific projects set out in the Markets Improvement Plan as directed by the CCM Markets and Street Trading Development Manager and in accordance with the grading of this post. Support and contributing positively to a culture of excellent customer service and delivering creative solutions to problems Support the Markets and Street Trading Development Manager in maximising the income potential of the Markets through helping to identifying opportunities to increase occupancy and developing a calendar of events and activities that increase footfall to themarket.
