Job Description

This company are a leading product and technology innovation partner focused on helping their customers realise new opportunities. Specialising in the healthcare, consumer, and industrial equipment sectors, their solutions start at the point a business decides upon the need for innovation and finish with the launch of a breakthrough new product that is customer focused and commercially effective.As a Consultant Manufacturing Engineer, you will be involved in developing products that make a difference. These can be in a wide range of areas including: developing novel medical devices and drug delivery systems, cutting-edge diagnostics and consumer devices.You will be responsible for performing design for manufacture and design transfer to manufacture of products and processes in the consumer, healthcare, industrial and energy sectors. In return your ingenuity will be rewarded with the satisfaction of seeing your ground-breaking new creations launched in the market.

  • Managing and working on projects throughout the product and process development life-cycles including both early and later stage projects. There will be a focus on process development and manufacturing realisation to include activities such DFMA, pFMEA and QC plan, process validation IQ,OQ,PQ along with process equipment development - URS/TRS/FAT/SAT
  • Mentoring and growing teams to support the growth of business in the process development and manufacturing realisation area
  • About you:
  • Track record of leading projects
  • Outstanding presentation and client management skills
  • Commercial awareness in one of the following environments: technical/design consultancy, technology start-up, new product development; new product introduction
  • Ability to spot sales opportunities, write proposals and attend conferences with a view to building a client database
  • 1st or 2:1 degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering from a top university or a post graduate qualification and equivalent experience
  • Current hands-on expertise in areas such as: concept generation; system level design; engineering analysis and detail design; 3D CAD; prototyping and lab testing; design for high and low volume manufacture; manufacturing process development; world class manufacturing principles
  • Strong drive to rapidly absorb and develop further technical, project leadership, and sales skills
