Job Description

We are looking to hire a Manufacturing Engineer for a leading manufacturer of complex special purpose instrumentation in Cambridgeshire who are growing their portfolio of products. The Manufacturing Engineer will be an important and integral part of theinnovative team responsible forintegration of a newly developed product, aligning processes and managing suppliers.You can expect an excellent work environment, competitive salary and benefits package at a company who are committed to investing in its people. The company is growing strongly and has a very bright future!Manufacturing Engineer`s Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing and coordinating suppliers, managing SOPs and test documentation.
  • Managing Bill of Materials, configuration and test documents, alignment of processes and procedures with Purchasing, Operations, Quality and Logistics.
  • Integration of the new product into the existing manufacturing engineering process flow.
  • Preparing technical documentation and taking the product through CE/UKCA certification.
Manufacturing Engineer`s Requirements:
  • Degree in Mechanical engineering or equivalent qualification / experience is essential.
  • High technology manufacturing background, understanding engineering knowledge and principals, and proven experience in biotechnology, pharma, medicines, or possibly semiconductors etc.
  • Experience in Process Control and Automation for biotechnology is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with MRP systems.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills, good interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
