Job Description

Job Role: Maintenance EngineerLocation: Cambridge, CambridgeshireSalary: £40,000-£44,000 DOEHours: 15:30-00:00 Monday to Friday – required to work a minimum 4 hours every fourth Saturday (paid overtime)Job Type: Full time, PermanentHolidays: 28 days including bank holidaysOvertime: Available at time ½ The client:Interaction Technical have partnered with a well-established heavy industrial firm based in Cambridge on their search for a multi-skilled maintenance engineer to join their growing team. Our client is looking for a maintenance engineer to work on a varietyof machines including but not limited to CNC, Shot Blasting and Precision Cutting machinery.The Benefits:

The Role:
  • Electrical & Mechanical fault finding & rectification on production machinery
  • Conducting planned and preventative maintenance
  • Following health and safety policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with the engineering manager to ensure smooth production of the plant
  • Monitor and analyse the technical aspects of the production installations optimise efficiency
  • Working to improve reliability and productivity of equipment
  • Ensure plant layout changes and installations are completed within the required timescale
The Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a maintenance engineer in a heavy industrial environment (essential)
  • Multiskilled engineer with either a mechanical or electrical bias (essential)
  • Pneumatic and Hydraulic knowledge (essential)
  • Relevant qualifications (NVQ or City and Guilds) in mechanical/electrical engineering (advantageous)
  • PLC knowledge: proven ability to modify (advantageous)
  • Previous fabrication and welding experience (MMA, MAG, MIG) as well as experience using handling power tools (advantageous)
