Job Description

I am working exclusively with a brand new start-up in Cambridge, who create adaptive, autonomous Robots for the Agriculture Sector. This incredible new business, develops advanced in-house software (in non-controllable environments) to maximise their value to clients. You will be working on their cutting-edge product, that delivers an innovative solution, to a fast-paced industry. We are seeking to employ an ambitious and enthusiastic Machine Learning Engineer, to work on their core project for the development of their autonomous robotics platform. You will be responsible for data gathering and processing, as well as, the development of machine learning algorithm for computer vision. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Graduate/Junior Machine Learning Engineer with some commercial experience, to join one of the most exciting brands in the robotics market! As a high growth, start-up company, your role will continuously evolve. Providing you with the ability to gain experience in a number of different fields; assisting the team with their key business objectives. But, with the continual support from the Team, Project Manager and CTO.Ideally, we are looking for Junior professionals who have experience in the following:

  • Development of computer vision systems
  • Lead data collection and classification process
  • Programming software for robotic arms (ROS)
  • Work with mechanical and electronic teams to ensure optimised integration with other system components and the manufacturing process
  • Write documentation for requirements, test and programming instructions
  • Confident to work with external partners to help maintain a classification process reliably and repeatedly
  • Work at all stages of the system development cycle from concept and requirements capture through to transfer to production.
    • Qualifications/Experience:The successful candidate will have some of the following:
  • Degree or HNC/HND in computer science engineering or equivalent
  • Demonstrable work experience with computer vision and machine learning
  • Advance knowledge of C++ and Python languages
  • Knowledge of TensorFlow
  • Experience in some or all of the following: ROS, image processing, robotics, micro controller programming.
  • Good problem solving, analytical and organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good team working ethic but able to work on own initiative with minimum supervision.
  • Good working knowledge of MS-Office tools.
