Machine Learning Engineer (Mid to Senior)Life Sciences/Medi/PharmaCambridge, Cambridgeshire£DOEOverview:TEC Partners are working exclusively with a fast-growing Cambridge start-up, combining AI, computational biology methods and deep pharmacology expertise.You will be working as part of the Artificial Intelligence team, applying cutting-edge deep learning approaches to Natural Language Processing and Knowledge Graph Reasoning.Main duties and responsibilities:You will contribute to building, refining and deploying machine learning infrastructure, automatically extracting biological facts from very large collections of documents, organising the information in the Knowledge Graph and building novel reasoning methods.Skills and experience:You will be an experienced Machine Learning Engineer with a proven track record of building commercial application in at least one of these areas: Deep Learning based NLP and information extraction Deep Learning applied to graph data Deployment of large scale Machine Learning solutions in a production environmentEssential requirements: An advanced degree (masters, PhD) in machine learning or related field 3+ years of work experience in machine learning, artificial intelligence, natural language processing or related fields Strong software development experience (preferably in Python) Familiarity with major deep learning frameworks: Tensorflow, Pytorch, possibly in a distributed environment.Desirable: Experience with distributed data and computing tools like Spark or Apache Beam. Experience with python NLP libraries like spacy and gensim and/or modern transformer-based models Experience or interest in applying deep learning to large graphs.
