Job Description

Salary: Up to £33,000pa (DOE)Location: CambridgeWe are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to manage and optimise the logistics operations, ensuring the timely delivery of spare parts and machinery while adhering to the latest Customs regulations.Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently coordinate all logistics operations while ensuring strict compliance with Customs regulations.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks related to import and export regulations that can impact business.
  • Handle import clearances and provide timely machine and freight quotations.
  • Arrange shipments for spare parts, machinery, and related export documentation in accordance with customer requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements across various logistics aspects, including low & full container loads, dangerous goods shipments by air, road, and sea, and international freight.
  • Update and maintain logistics procedures and stay well-informed about role-related matters such as HT codes, packing regulations, and country-specific export requirements.
  • Serve as a backup for spare parts order entry processes on behalf of the Logistics Manager and assist with day-to-day pick and pack operations according to customer demands.
  • Act as the logistics representative in internal meetings, providing updates on the current status of ongoing machine shipments.
Qualifications & Experience required
  • Hold a CILT Level 3 certification or an equivalent qualification.
  • Completed import/export training or have a good amount of relevant experience in a similar role
  • Preferably, have experience in shipping dangerous goods by road and/or air.
  • Demonstrated experience in the transportation of large machinery by road, air, and sea.
