Job Description

Title: Legal SecretaryLocation: CambridgeSalary: Up to £26,000 - £28,000Days/ Hour of work: Monday - Friday - 09:00 - 5:30Benefits

The company Our client is recruiting for a forward thinking, creative and articulate Legal Secretary to come and join their growing Banking and Finance team, on a full-time permanent basis. You will be supporting members of the legal team as well as members of the widerbusiness. This is an amazing opportunity for someone who is accurate, proactive and dedicated to take the next step in their career.Duties
  • Process all documents including new client forms, money laundering forms, new matter forms, and training course booking forms
  • Prepare and proof read legal documents
  • Prepare narratives and bills and keep billing files up to date
  • Immediately clarify instructions from fee earners should they be unclear or if deadlines are not made explicit
  • Prepare all documentation for meetings
  • Diary management
  • Respond to internal and external telephone enquiries politely and professionally
The ideal candidate
  • Proven experience of working as a secretary or administrator
  • Excellent spelling and punctuation
  • Accurate typing skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications and ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of individuals
  • Excellent IT skills, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Positive and enthusiastic approach to teamwork
  • Good telephone manner
  • Adaptable and flexible
  • Self-motivated, ability to use initiative and provide pro-active support to fee-earners
  • Ability to remain calm and work under pressure to meet strict deadlines
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and development.
