Job Description

A growing biotech in the Cambridge area is looking to take on a lead Scientist with a strong background in protein engineering and molecular biology techniques.If you are looking to develop managerial skills this role will be a great avenue for you to develop those all-important line management and coaching skillsLead Scientist (Protein Engineering)CambridgeCirca £45,000The main purpose of this role is to work within the protein engineering team and ensure the timely delivery of client projects/studiesMain duties for Lead Scientist (Protein Engineering):

  • Lead and manage a range of client projects
  • Design and carry out routine and complex experiments as necessary
  • Data analysis and interpretation
  • Prepare and review reports and presentations, and be responsible for the production of reports
  • Attend, contribute and if necessary, lead internal meetings
    • To be considered for the Lead Scientist (Protein Engineering) role you will need a PhD in a Life sciences subject with a good understanding of biologics along with strong understanding of protein engineering techniques, mammalian expression systems and protein purification and characterisation techniques.You will need experience using DNA sequence analysis software, and be able to work independently or as part of a team.Another fantastic role to join a growing business who have continued to grow year on year!If the Lead Scientist (Protein Engineering) role is of interest then please apply Required skills
