Job Description

Lead Chemical Process Engineer (R&D)Cambridge£50,000 - £55,000 NEG + training + 25 days holiday + life assurance + enhanced pension + electric vehicle schemeAre you a Chemical Engineer, with experience of Process Development, looking to join a world-leading manufacturer, for a brand new R&D / Manufacturing facility, where you will work closely with the CEO to design and implement new plant projects and processes,directly adding value through your Chemical and Process Engineering expertise, operating in state of the art facilities whilst benefitting from excellent training and progression opportunitiesAre you looking to join a technically innovative company which heavily invests in its employees training and development, where you will benefit from a hugely rewarding role, with the ability to fully utilise your skills and experience, whilst playing anintegral part in the ongoing growth and success of the company, working on the manufacture of specialist polymers and bio-compatible materialsOn offer is the opportunity to join a collaborative and dynamic global organisation, in a highly autonomous role. You will be responsible for the design, implementation and commissioning of new plant projects, as well as the development of new industrialprocesses.The role:

  • Examine and analyse production processes, developing or amending working methods that will increase productivity and yields, whilst improving upon quality and consistency of products
  • Troubleshoot during the manufacturing process of specialist polymers and other bio-compatible materials to improve plant efficiencies
  • Develop and implement best practise operating procedures, ensuring SOPs are equipment and processes
  • Manage external contractors, validating design work and equipment specifications
The person:
  • Degree or equivalent in Chemical Engineering
  • Process Engineering experience
