Law Teacher - Independent Sixth FormLocation: CambridgeStart Date: ASAP or Jan 2021 Timetable: Part-Time or Full-Time Contract: PermanentSalary: £22.63-£33.73 per hourOur client, an independent sixth form in Cambridge, is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Law Teacher to join their high achieving, well-regarded institution.The sixth form is part of a wider group of independent schools that caters to a mix of local and international students. Academic achievement is well above average and many students go on to Oxbridge and Russell Group Universities in the UK and leading universities around the world. As well as KS5, the college also tutor for undergraduate and foundation degree level as well as Pre-U.Currently, the college requires an outstanding Law Teacher to support the smooth running of the department. The Law Teacher will teach engaged students with high aspirations. The successful Law Teacher applicant will likely be a Law graduate who is knowledgeable in their field, having excellent academics themselves. They will be confident to teach A-level material to A* ability students. They will also possess a natural ability to build rapport with young people and be able to break complex ideas and topics down to accessible chunks that students can retain. The school uses the OCR syllabus.There is some flexibility with the timetabling so this role could be more or fewer hours (but likely around 19hrs hours per week) on a part-time teaching timetable or something full-time if the candidate can offer something else to the school in addition.
