If you have been thinking about a change this is the time to reach out and discuss this, these roles rarely become available.As Laboratory Technician you will support across a range of lab functions focusing on molecular processes including fermentation, strain engineering and process optimization. The ideal person for the role will have a minimum of a Bachelors in a Biological Science and have proven experience working in a commercial Lab environment.Job responsibilities:- Liaise with other research molecular biologists, process engineers and product development scientists to understand the biology requirements, enabling you to develop the processes and assays. - Design, conduct and document all the experiments - Perform fermentations, engineer and develop strains, as well as pre-processing downstream processing equipment, - Maintaining and prepare equipment within the laboratory.This is a unique opportunity to join the team at a very exciting stage of growth, as a Laboratory Technician you will have the following experience:- Proven laboratory experience, ideally gained within an industrial lab environment- A relevant university degree in biological, chemical or environmental sciences is advantageous. Equivalent experience will be considered.- Thin layer chromatography and UV/VIS spectrophotometry based methods are advantageous.If you are personable, motivated and looking to join a business where employees are at the forefront of the company, with the above experience.
