Laboratory Manager Cambridge Competitive Salary Start ASAP An innovative organisation at the forefront of their field are looking to bring on board a Laboratory Manager. This individual will ensure the smooth running of the laboratory operations by coordinating requirements of all R&D teams to ensure optimal use of space and equipment. They will supervise a small team responsible for the delivery of all laboratory and will act as the main point of contact for all laboratory matters. They will oversee the work of the laboratory team ensuring the lab is fully operational (equipment and consumables) and that individuals can undertake their research activities as effectively and efficiently as possible.Responsibilities:- Accountability for laboratory compliance with Health and Safety Regulations- Oversee the safe operation of all laboratory equipment, including involvement in the purchasing of new equipment within budget. - Work with Stores Supervisor to ensure lab services/supplies provided are delivered as agreed and on schedule, liaise with suppliers as needed to resolve any issues. - Line management of a small team.Requirements: - Science related degree, or extensive relevant scientific experience, - NEBOSH certificate or similar Health and Safety qualification, or extensive relevant experience of Health and Safety Management- Previous work experience in CL2 laboratory- Biological Safety containment; anaerobic and tissue culture- Experience with gases and liquid nitrogen alongside media preparation- Line management experience would be advantageous If this sounds like the ideal role, please apply online.
