Job Description

Laboratory CoordinatorCambridgePermanentUp to £40k per annum, depending on skills, experience backgroundRole profile:Working for a revolutionary organisation based in Cambridge, this organisation is seeking to hire a Laboratory Coordinator to support the logistical laboratory management of a busy biotech as it prepares to transition from R&D to product development. Thisis a truly integral role in which you will have touchpoints with all areas of the business including a multidisciplinary workforce of chemists, biologists, software engineers and mechanical engineers.Role responsibilities:

  • Taking accountability for the Goods-In process, coordinating with various lab teams to ensure deliveries are received and categorised in a timely manner
  • Manage the husbandry of the lab in terms of housekeeping, health and safety, management of chemicals and correct disposal processes
  • Accountable for stocking of relevant reagents, buffers, consumables
  • Equipment maintenance and validation
  • Working closely with Operations Leads to ensure maintenance of facilities
Your background:
  • Proven background from within a commercial industry laboratory
  • Good familiarity with SOPs, and Health and Safety policy and knowledge of 6S Principles would be a strong advantage
  • Accustomed to working with a LIMS and QMS, sample management and ordering systems
  • Meticulous, a stickler for process and accuracy in all that you do
  • Able to communicate with clarity and influence internally, and work professionally at all levels of the organisation
