Job Description

We are looking for a candidate to join one of Cambridge’s premium employers in their L&D department. You will be providing day to day support to the department which will include managing a busy inbox on behalf of senior staff, booking and scheduling of courses. This is a time pressured role that will require candidates who can cope with multiple tasks at anyone time. The vacancy is on an initial 6-month FTC.Start: ASAPLocation: North Cambridge, CB4Hourly Rate: £Negotiable!Hours: Monday - Thursday 9am - 5pm, Friday 9am - 16.30pmDuration: 6 month FTCBenefits: Pension scheme, free canteen - breakfast, lunch and refreshments, 25 days annual holiday plus public holidays (Pro Rata for FTC), flexible working hours, shuttle service to and from Cambridge North train stationTo be suitable for this position you will be an excellent communicator with the ability to think ahead, you will be confident learning new systems and enjoy working in a methodical way. You will be confident in working through a to do list and able to prioritize a heavy workload.Duties:

  • Monitor and maintain department inboxes
  • Complete booking administration
  • Ensuring delegate lists are up to date
  • Printing of training materials
  • Booking of training rooms, ensuring equipment is available and set up
  • Ensure attendance sheets are completed
  • Use the Training Management System to support all training activities
  • Communicate with both trainers, supporting staff, delegates and line managers
  • Maintain the onboarding process for all new starters joining the organisation
  • Manage the monthly process for Lab Refresher training
  • Daily checks to ensure the training rooms are in a satisfactory condition
  • Support the training department with administrative tasks when required
  • Data entry on the Training Management System
  • Skills and Experience Required:
  • Excellent knowledge and use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrate excellent customer services skills along with
  • Experience of supporting others with a variety of different enquiries
  • Must demonstrate effective communication, both verbally and written
  • Must be able to prioritise own workload, with a flexible approach
  • Able to work to a high standard, with attention to detail
