Job Description

Junior Infrastructure Engineer (Windows SQL PowerShell VMware) *WfH / Cambridge* to £50kAre you a Junior Infrastructure Engineer looking for an opportunity to upskill and work with modern tech Would you enjoy working alongside a small, close-knit team within a historic central Cambridge settingYou could be joining a successful tech team who build and manage IT services for a highly prestigious, global institution.Benefits:

Your Role:As a Junior Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing and supporting technologies in server, virtualisation, and storage using scripting and automation where possible. You will take ownership of an upcoming migration to VMware andwill oversee the improvement of working practices such as DevOps, Agile, and CI/CD. This is a fantastic opportunity for a junior looking to develop their infrastructure career and progress their knowledge of modern technologies and DevOps practices.WfH Policy / Office:The company is based in a scenic area of central Cambridge however, youll only be expected to go in one day a week.Requirements:
  • You have experience within an Infrastructure Engineering role
  • You have experience running servers / running services on servers
  • You have scripting and automation experience ideally using PowerShell
  • You have experience with configuration management using Puppet or Ansible
  • You ideally have some experience with VMware and Docker
  • You are a self-starter who can work autonomously
  • You have excellent communication and collaboration skills
