Job Description

IT Support Engineer / up to £40k / Cambridge, Stevenage or LondonTEC Partners are currently working with an excellent organisation based in Cambridgeshire who are looking to add an IT Support Engineer to their team. Do you enjoy providing high quality IT Support to businesses but prefer working face to face You willplay an important part of the onsite support team in a varied role which will be combining strategic advice and hands on desk side IT Support with some brilliant companies.As the IT Support Engineer you will be supporting a handful of clients working on site of an average of 4 days a week. You will be part of delivering varies and interesting IT Projects and will provide guidance and strategic advice for clients. Whilst supportingclients onsite in either Cambridge, Stevenage and London you will have assistance from the head office Service Desk Team.The following experience is essential for the role:

  • A strong ability to build strong relationships and gain the trust of the clients you visit
  • An all round people person with great communication skills
  • Proven technical abilities within a Windows environments with an ability to pick up and troubleshoot issues with Linux and MacOS.
  • Proven ability in managing on prem Active Directory and other on premise Windows server roles
  • Exposure to virtualisation on Azure or AWS
  • A strong ability to manage Microsoft 365 tenancies across various products
  • Exposure to running clients in a hybrid environment with AD, DS and AAD
  • Exposure to virtualisation either through VMware or Hyper-V
  • An understanding of networking and firewall management
