Job Description

Interim Finance ManagerStart: ASAP - will consider temp to FTCLocation: South CambridgeshireHours: 37.5 hours Monday - Friday (hybrid working)Salary: Up to £80kDoyou want to work for an exciting software company that is pushing the boundaries of new technology within the SaaS space Look no further!Responsibilities:

  • Team Management:
    • Manage transactional staff in the UK Finance team (2 members) and 1 in the US, providing guidance and support.
    • Oversee and develop the skills of the UK-based Assistant Accountant.
  • Financial Processes:
    • Collaborate with the Group Accountant and Assistant Accountant for efficient completion of month-end, H1, and year-end processes in multiple locations.
    • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of management accounts and board packs.
    • Maintain clean and up-to-date balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Business Partnership:
    • Act as a key business partner to assigned wider business leaders, holding monthly financial review meetings.
    • Collaborate with the management team during budgeting and reforecasting processes.
  • Statutory Compliance:
    • Participate as a key member in external audits, providing information and answering auditor queries.
    • Assist in the preparation of Group and Company statutory accounts.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Gain an in-depth understanding of Accounts Receivable and Payable processes, supporting, maintaining, and improving these processes.
    • Work with the team to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Sales Tax Reconciliations:
    • Perform sales tax reconciliations across all relevant US jurisdictions using Avatax.
  • Technology Stack:
    • Work with the team to help maintain the evolving technology stack, seeking more automated, scalable, and secure ways of working.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications:
    • Qualified accountant – ACA, ACCA, or equivalent.
    • A-level (or equivalent) in maths, statistics, or other numerical subjects.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Highly numerate with strong attention to detail.
    • Working knowledge of UK and/or international accounting standards.
    • Strong software and data skills, robust working knowledge of Excel.
  • Experience:
    • Experience in process improvement and establishing sustainable processes.
    • Adaptable to the evolving nature of roles within a fast-growing business.
Desirable Skills:
  • Software company/SAAS experience.
  • NetSuite and/or Adaptive Planning experience.
  • Experience in successful hybrid working.
  • Experience managing a team member overseas or working with team members in different locations.
