Based in Cambridge the Instrument / Mechanical Architect will be joining an exciting new start up focused on Medical Technology, specifically DNA Synthesis. This exciting opportunity with give the Instrumentation Specialist the opportunity to work at the cutting edge of medical research, specifically DNA Synthesis with applications in experimental Physics, MEMS, Microelectronics, Mechanical, Microfluidics, Embedded Systems and Synthetic Biology.The Instrument Architect / Mechanical Lead will working alongside module leads, negotiating with all parties to create a vision for the complex design. Responsibilities will involve working from concept through to detailed design, managing projects, managing complex assembly and creating product / industrial vision.The successful candidate will have a good relevant Degree / MSc / PhD in Mechanical Design, • A proven track record in Mechanical and Instrumentation Systems Design• Experience developing novel solutions • Skilled in Solidworks• Taking products through to Assembly and Manufacture.This opportunity will provide the successful application excellent benefits, share options and the chance to work with a great team on leading edge life changing technology.
