We are currently looking for a Bioinformatics Developer to join a leading life science company based in the Cambridgeshire area. As the Bioinformatics Developer you will be responsible for streamlining existing data pipelines and supporting internal stakeholdersin designing and creating new products. As a Bioinformatics Developer you will have a solid understanding of NGS analysis. Candidates with a PhD in bioinformatics or an equivalent level of industry experience will have a distinct advantage for this role. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Your duties as the Bioinformatics Developer will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:1. Providing insight into computational solutions and identifying suitable workflows, and analysing, summarising, and interpreting NGS data sets2. Work with the wider software development team to develop regulatory compliant code3. Assist in optimising the companys analysis pipelines which in turn will improve their scalability4. Oversee product development end to end from concept to commercial productROLE REQUIREMENTS:To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Bioinformatics Developer we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:1. Relevant PhD in the field of bioinformatics, statistics, or computational biology, or an equivalent level of work experience 2. Proven industry experience in NGS data analysis and algorithm development would be required for this role3.
