We have a brand-new vacancy for a talented Mechanical Engineer / Industrial Design Engineer with a good degree and around 1-5 years post graduate experience, to join an expanding technology development company based in Cambridgeshire. This is a truly exciting chance for a gifted Industrial Designer (ideally with Consumer Products, Healthcare or Medical Device experience) to join a growing business where you can be mentored by industry leaders and develop a rewarding career.You will be using your passion for innovation to develop technologies and products for global leaders in the Medical Devices marketplace, making improvements to usability, ergonomics and function, including brainstorming with sketches, CAD modelling, 3D renderings and presentations to colleagues and clients.Requirements for Industrial / Product Design EngineerA first or upper second BEng/MEng degree in engineering (eg. Product Engineering, Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or perhaps Ergonomics) from a leading university and excellent A-levelsA higher degree ( MSc, MEng, MA, PhD) or additional engineering experience would be beneficial.A portfolio reflecting your industrial product design experience is essential (commercial or academic projects).Ability to use mechanical engineering concepts to guide device design and development.A creative approach to problem solutions.An enthusiasm for innovation and the tenacity to succeed.The ambition to grow your career with a rapidly expanding company.Excellent communication skills including written, oral and presentation skills.Eligibility to work in the UK.Job/vacancy location: Cambridge (commutable from Newmarket, Huntingdon, St Neots, Newmarket, Royston, Bury St Edmunds, Stevenage, etc)
