Job Description

HR Manager£50,000 - £54,000 + excellent benefitsHybrid 2-3 days in the officeCambridgeThis is an exciting opportunity to join a well known, large, organisation with a prestigious reputation and to manage a small team working with a very varied employee group who are passionate about what they do and the differences they make to society andthe future generation, you will be on the senior management team and will manage a team of 3-5 HR Advisers / Coordinators and drive best practice across your business area giving an expert HR service across this complex organisationDUTIES

  • You will be hands on, have day to day responsibility for everything HR related and navigate a complex organisational structure.
  • Be responsible for the full employee lifecycle, you and your team will support on all day to day HR generalist duties
  • Monitor and lead on workforce planning, development of employees and identify opportunities and career paths for the workforce
  • Leading end to end recruitment, all ER cases, policy questions and queries as well as contribute and lead committees and focus groups
  • You will partner with various stakeholders and support, coach and guide them with their teams to make sure they have full support from an HR perspective as well as develop career opportunities and discuss succession planning
  • Being creative with your approach as answers arent always black or white, you will enjoy coming up with solutions and thinking outside the box.
  • With a pragmatic and structured approach you will manage the employee lifecycle and be a strong leader, someone your team looks up to for inspiration and guidance and deliver the HR strategy for your business area
  • The role has much more involvement and is an all encompassing and very busy hands on HR generalist opportunity.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Experience as an HR Manager or Senior HR Advisor will have given you strong generalist HR knowledge and is essential for this post
  • You will be an expert in employment law and will have experience managing case work from end to end
  • You will have a CIPD or similar qualification and ideally a degree or similar qualification or experience gained at this level
  • You will be either in an HR management position now, or maybe a Senior HR Advisor or HR Business Partner role with team management skills previously and looking for your next career move.
  • Your communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills will be extremely strong as will your relationship building skills
  • Experience working in a large complex organisation is highly desirable and from eny sector background
  • Experience multi-tasking and managing a busy workload is essential
