Job Description

This HR Advisor position based across Cambridge (Home based) will be responsible for providing specialist coaching, support and advice to line managers to enable them to effectively deliver their people plans in line with the Groups People Strategy and multiple site objectives. This role is part of an outcome focused and proactive HR advisory service, using data and analytics to drive advice in lien with the groups overall HR strategyClient DetailsMy client are a leading national group with multiple sites across Cambridge and operate within the Education and training field with a passion for providing excellent consultancy services. The company have a strong management and senior leadership teams who encourage personal and professional development with autonomy and flexibility in a high trust environment. This role is home based with daily/weekly travel to sites across Cambridge so transport is required.DescriptionHR Advisor Key Responsibilities

  • Supports delivery of the HR Strategy and HR Service;
  • Contributes to the continuous improvement of HR systems; practices and SLAs;
  • Develops and implements HR policies and processes;
  • Implements HR plans and strategies;
  • Delivers practical advice; training; and coaching (as required) to line managers on all people procedures; policy launches; system initiatives and applicable changes to employment legislation;
  • Contributes to the development and maintenance of practical toolkits for site-based HR and management teams to access;
  • Helps embed a performance management culture within own client area as a means of driving improvement by ensuring line manager and employees develop clear objectives linked to the Strategy and group objectives;
  • Works with own client area to identify individual / collective learning and development needs, feeding these back to help shape the strategic learning and development offer;
  • Support and implement HR Project initiatives across the Group;
  • ProfileSkills and Capabilities required for this Cambridgeshire HR Advisor position;
  • Proven experience of successfully delivering a HR Advisor role in a complex multisite organisation;
  • Proven experience of operating as a confidante / colleague to middle and senior leaders;
  • Ability to influence and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels;
  • Up to date knowledge of current and pending employment law legislation;
  • Experience of complex Employee Relations issues;

  • Prior experience in the education and training industry is not required as the company want a fresh approach with attitude being key
