** Homeless Recovery Coordinator **** Cambridge, Cambridgeshire **** 12 month contract **** Full time working Monday - Friday; 9am - 5pm **** Experience of working with homeless people is essential for this role **BS Social Care are currently working in partnership with a well established homelessness organisation who assist people with accomodation, mental health, drug and alcohol abuse issues and more. This post is a 12 month contract working Monday - Friday; 9am - 5pm.About the employer; this charity organisation has been established since the 70s. Since then they`ve grown to have more than 150 services across the UK. They enable people to make the positive changes necessary to lead independent and purposeful lives and create safer, healthier communities. This service is to help anyone who is vulnerable and needs assistance with any aspect of their lifes.About the job; the Homeless Recovery Coordinator role will be the key liaison between the charity services, local hostels and shelters, the local council and partners. You will actively engage individuals with the services they need to support improved health, wellbeing, social inclusion and appropriate accommodation. You will help create a best practice approach to working with those who are homeless and ensure co-working with other agencies is established.About the ideal candidate; to apply for this role, you must have the following...- experience in working with people who are homeless, sleeping rough or sofa surfing- experience of communicating effectively with hostel staff, health and social care staff and those individuals who are homeless, sleeping rough or sofa surfing- the ability to work remotely and autonomously- the experience of engaging with a wide variety of individuals with a variety of backgrounds and needs.- the ability to work with and manage challenging behaviourFor this full time 12 month contract, you will be offered between £23,000 - £28,000 alongside benefits that will be discussed at interview stage.To apply for this role, please send your CV or call Zoe Gunn on .
