Job Description

Homecare Nurse / Chemotherapy Nurse - Community £30,000-£37,000 plus Company Car, Private Medical Insurance, Private Pension Scheme, Company Mobile, Laptop & More Full-Time Cambridge The Client Compass Associates are proud to be partnering with an innovative healthcare organisation, who deliver high quality clinical care to patients in the comfort of their own homes. The company have been established for over 10 years and are currently going through a phase of growth and expansion, which is why they are looking for experienced nurses to join their team, who will provide care for both NHS and private patients. At present, we are in search for an experienced IV Homecare Nurse or Chemotherapy Homecare Nurse to join their team of professionals in the Cambridge region. Our client is looking for someone who has extensive experience in the medical field, who is competent in the administration of IV therapies, venepuncture and cannulation. The Role As a Homecare Nurse, you will be responsible for travelling around the Cambridge area, providing safe, high quality nursing care, administering a range of treatments including infusion therapies, injections, monoclonal antibody drugs and cytotoxic drugs in the comfort of the patients home. Excellent communication skills and a compassionate nature is key in this role, as you will build lasting personal relationships with patients and their support network, in order to aid and support their treatment and recovery. The company are firm believers in patient centred care. You will be the primary nurse of a caseload of patients and a secondary nurse to others, meaning that you are able to build up long lasting relationships with your clients, putting them and yourself at ease. This is a full-time position consisting of 37.5 hours per week, which will typically be worked Monday-Friday, between the hours of 8am - 6pm. The Candidate My client is seeking an enthusiastic, friendly and patient focused individual to join their team in Cambridge. In order to be successful with this opportunity, you must be a Registered General Nurse who is competent in the administration of IV therapies. The administration of chemotherapy would be advantageous, but not essential. You must have a full UK driving licence to be successful and be a competent and confident driver. Requirements - RGN qualification - NMC registration - Full UK driving licence - Cannulation - Phlebotomy - Experience in standard and complex infusion therapies - Well-developed interpersonal skills - Excellent communication skills - Patient focussed - Passion for high quality patient care - Chemotherapy experience would be advantageous, but not essential Summary My Client is looking for a full-time Homecare Nurse to join their team in Cambridge.
