Job Description

A recipient of the Queens Award for Innovation, geo combines its smart energy displays, control and automation capabilities with leading edge data science, AI, cloud, firmware, UX, UI and customer insight to create complete carbon management systems.The PositionThe production team at geo is all about supporting the development of products and shipping them into millions of peoples homes. Our new head of production would manage our production team and CEM day to day, this includes: supply chain management, production planning and scheduling, production line optimisation, shipping and logistics.Key responsibilities include:

  • Running defined production projects and liaising with stakeholders and customers as required
  • Managing key supplier relationships with a focus on cost saving and continuity of supply
  • Preparing Advanced Shipping Notification for customers warehouses and deliveries
  • Determining and deploying quality and environmental control standards
  • Maintaining feasible schedules of entire product teams and expedite material as needed
  • Establishing key production performance indicators, monitoring ongoing performance, and improving performance against set goals
  • Driving the sales and operations planning process including supply / demand forecasting and on time delivery
  • Managing the approved vendor list
  • Working with the CEM to optimise production line
  • Project managing software production tools
  • Controlling and reporting of component stock and buffer inventory
  • Quoting of all lead-times, plus driving lead-times down across the product portfolio
  • Maintaining and accounting for all tooling held in production
  • Implementing production continuous improvement processes including requirement imposed on the business by customers including but not limited to monitoring reject rates, rework, vendor performance and on time delivery
    • Requirements
  • Significant experience working with CEM
  • Experience in a high volume, consumer electronics environment
  • Experience in lean manufacturing
  • Hands-on experience using modern Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement methods
  • Experience working with ISO standards
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Strategic mentality and approach to work with good problem solving skills
  • Commercially aware with good project management and presentation skills
  • The ability to make effective decisions under pressure and communicate effectively with staff
