People & strategy mgmt Your new companyYou will be joining a world-leading technology company investing heavily in their life sciences division. As well as one of the most talented data science teams in the industry, they are backed up by significant computational resources and a number of high-level partnerships with pharmaceutical clients across the globe. They are looking at new ways to use large scale data sets and innovative Machine & Deep Learning approaches to streamline the drug discovery & development process.Your new roleYou will be heading up their Data Science team, providing technical and people leadership as well as a strategic plan about how to further grow the department. A major focus will be leading efforts to develop new data science approaches and apply these to drug discovery and development, eg through mining large public health datasets/medical records, both through oversight/management and hands-on development of novel algorithms and ML/DL based models. This is a high-level role where you will be liaising closely with partner companies and senior stakeholders within the pharmaceutical industry. The position is currently home based.
